From what I have read, this is the worlds first MP3 player released to the public back in 1998. Perhaps one day, even this will become collectible. I am sure that moog synthesizers were considered junk in the mid 1980's, but look how much they are worth now.
Here is more about this player. It had 32mb and could hold 8 to 10 songs. And it was made in Korea. We had to start somewhere and look where we are today. An entire lifetime of music can be stored on one mp3 player that is even smaller than this one. Make you wonder what is going to happen in the next ten years or so.
Here are some more amazing firsts. The world first commercial CD player invented marketed in 1982. It was the model CDP-101.

And we can't forget the worlds very first personal cassette player that came out in 1979. A very modern design indeed, even by todays standards. Leave it to the Japanese again.
